What each setting on the wand does

Every bay has the same options. Turn the dial, the wand changes. Here's when to use each one.

Pre-Soak
Low pressure chemical. Coat the whole vehicle, wheels first, and let it sit about thirty seconds. It does the loosening so you don't have to scrub.
Soap
High pressure hot soapy water. Work from the roof down, a foot or so off the paint, so dirt runs off panels you've already done.
Rinse
High pressure clear water. Rinse top to bottom until no suds run off the rocker panels. Don't forget the door jambs and the inside of the wheels.
Wax
A spray wax applied over the rinsed body. Adds shine and a layer that beads water and sheds slush. Rinse lightly afterwards.
Rainbow Protectant
A foam protectant applied over the rinsed body. Use it before the spot free rinse for a slicker finish that stays cleaner longer, especially going into winter.
Spot Free Rinse
Purified water with the minerals removed. Always finish here, and skip the towel: it dries without spots, even on black paint.
Vacuum & Carpet Shampooer
In every bay. Vacuum first, then shampoo mats and carpets, then vacuum again once they've been worked. Salt stains lift best while the carpet is still damp.
Compressed Air
Blow water out of mirrors, door handles, the fuel door and seams so nothing freezes shut, and clear dust from vents and seat tracks.
Wash like a pro

Five minutes to a better self-serve wash

  1. Start with the undercarriage

It runs automatically as you enter. Let it finish before you pull into position; it is the pass that removes salt and brine from the frame and suspension.

  2. Pre-soak, then wait

Coat the whole vehicle, wheels first, and give it thirty seconds. The pre-soak does the work so the high pressure rinse doesn't have to.

  3. Soap top to bottom

Work from the roof down so dirt runs off panels you've already cleaned. Keep the wand a foot or so from the paint and move steadily.

  4. Rinse, wax, spot free

Rinse the soap off, add wax or Rainbow Protectant for a shell that sheds slush, and finish with the spot free rinse so the car dries with no water marks.

  5. Inside and the details

Vacuum, shampoo the carpets and blow out door jambs, mirrors and the fuel door with compressed air so nothing freezes shut on the way home.

Trucks, vans, SUVs

Truck wash in Edmonton: wide bays with room to work

Truck owners are a big part of why we built the bays wide. Full-size and lifted pickups, work vans, SUVs and small trailers fit with space to walk all the way around, reach the box and the running boards, and blast the wheel wells and undercarriage where gravel-road mud and winter brine collect. Contractors, delivery drivers and rideshare drivers across West Edmonton use the wand bays to keep work vehicles presentable between jobs, and a fleet card keeps the receipts simple.

Hot softened water runs year round, so you can wash through an Edmonton winter without the spotting and frozen residue that hard, cold water leaves behind.

Wand wash FAQ

Before you grab the wand

How much does the wand wash cost?

You control the cost. Each bay runs on time, so a quick rinse costs a few dollars and a full wash with wax, vacuum and carpet shampoo costs far less than a detailing shop. Start with Loonies or Toonies, or tap your card at the bay.

Is the water heated?

Yes. We only use fresh, hot, softened water, which cuts through winter grime faster and leaves fewer spots than the hard, cold water at many self-serve washes.

Do the bays fit trucks and vans?

Yes. All eight bays are wide, so pickups, SUVs, work vans and small trailers fit with room to walk around.

Is there a vacuum?

Every bay is equipped with a vacuum, a carpet shampooer and compressed air, so you can clean the inside as well as the outside without moving your vehicle.
